Hmm :)

Well I was drawn to this song by your name. Maestrorage and then another maestro_____. First thought was does maestrorage have two accounts? Read your profile message and I see you guys are a family of classical musicians. This song has a tribal feeling with those nice drums. I find that too much looping is going on that I get bored. For a video game this would be perfect. As for just listening to it alone (with no pixelated characters with guns) well it isn't too appealing. However, I sense that you did this intentionally so I can't really complain. Are you making a video game that can use this song? Okay so I'll give you a 5/5 vote and a 9/10 review. What does KW mean? Bye for now

MaestroSegments responds:

ah hello Music_story! You are right to assume that this piece is not meant to stand on it's own feet. Without a visual reference it becomes rather tedious as you stated.

This is in fact for an online game team i'm a part off, the full version will of course be much more diverse, but as a loop this is perfect as is.

KW means (K)ey (W)ords, to allow flash authors to easily search and find the piece. This account is made purely to help flash authors with useful loops, or small pieces that I don't want to put on my full song page!

Thank you for the review ^^, i'm glad you liked it!

Video game?

Some of your sounds give me images of 16 bit...possibly 8 bit gameboy music. Maybe not a powerful song. I think it is a cute song with the high pitch happy sounds. Good fx here and there. This song also gives me images of traveling in a foreign planet. That oh so common bass is used way too many times. Let me guess...you use fl. Since its my first time hearing this bass from you I'll think of it as original. Overall the song is good but not something that gets me all excited. I'll 5/5 vote. 9/10 review. Bye for now

Flash game?

Is your game going to be some kind of ddr with the keyboard style? That's my impression when I hear you say "rock" out rivals. Its a good loop with alot of fuzziness. Easily seen as intentional and gives a party feel. However if you extended this so that maybe it would loop after 30 secs rather than looping constantly right away...except for that brief slow down, then this beat wouldn't get annoying. Anyway I look forward to your game. Tell me whenever you make it. I'll give it a try. Bye for now

NeoMarine responds:

I would have released the game the other day except i'm limited to 2 songs per day and I believe I need all the tracks in the game uploaded here before I can upload the game because it's for a contest which requires crediting to the audio authors.

The game will be out tomorrow... I hope you like it, anyhow.

Title hmm

The song has a calm feeling to it and slowly picks up. Hmm then back to the calm stuff. Reminds me of a beautiful clear day where your cruising on the lonely streets under a full moon. Not sure what title can fit that description. Since just a demo, I'll leave my comments for the final version. Continue with it and maybe reach a climax. Your buildup doesn't really buildup to anything unless you intentionally want that feeling. Bye for now

C3NTAURI0N responds:

Hmm, Yeah maybe I could call it something peaceful. I was also thinking about re-classifying this track aswell to dance or something. Thanks for the feedback. Stay tuned for the full version.

Epic

Confused about this dreamshire thing. Your past reviewer's song which you remixed? Anyway it sounds like I'm watching gladiator. That movie was awesome. Again very epic. The strings are very emotional and the plucking of cello? fits ever so nicely. Brass, excellent choice. Works wonders for this gladiator style. Now that transition was really strange (the one before the crowd starts cheering). Sounds like a really messed up block that you rubbed a stick against. When I say strange I don't mean its bad. Very unique though. I was hoping for a dark bell somewhere in the song. Maybe there was but I didn't here one. Nice ending. Personally I like definate endings rather than the fade out (or is that fade in? always confuse between the two) Did you put vibrato/tremelo on the violin to make it dreamy? Overall a 5/5 and sure a 10/10. You got some nice talent with them classical songs.

MaestroRage responds:

hello Music-story!

This song was constructed for Dreamshire-Fire's character and story revolving around Orson Stonerule. It is not a remix per say, but a cue or piece depicting that story that he showed me.

The dark, battle, angry piece is the second part of this story. This is the daunting, and heroic entrace of the hero, before the defining battle to end all things.

I'm glad you liked the piece, I hope you will hear the second part, when it comes out :D. Thank you for the review ^^.

Also, it's not really a fade out, more a trailing cliff hanger, there were no tremelo, but vibrato was in excessive use here.

Once again, thanks ^^.

Nice beat

Sounds like you put alot of "attack" on the piano. A more legato style rather than a hard bang of a few keys here and there would have made this song more beautiful. However you got the job done still. Its a lovable piece with some great composition. I suppose this can be a full....very short song. :) This song is alot better than the other songs that got the a-bot list this week. Believe it or not but this reminds me of christian music and anime music. Lyrics just pop up in my head. You could put lyrics into this song of yours and it be really awesome. I like the accompany of strings...violin. Overall I like this song so a 5/5 and 9/10 review. Hmm...I just recognized your previous song is based on anime. Was that your influence to make this song too? Bye for now

studio-nightbird responds:

yea. i like to lern an awsome song. than edit it to the point when its not that song any longer. i'll prob come back to this and make an instrumental mix a bit of techno (a little bit)

thanks for the comment

Oh what is this??????

Inspired by a dance musician I see. :) When you transition into that happy stuff (your 2nd transition) that tune sounds very very familiar. Hey I actually reviewed the guy that had the exact same rhythm as you did. "A New Beginning (Full Version)" by aaron4400. Take a listen. He got blammed though which was really too bad so I hope the same doesn't happen to you cause its a cool rhythm. Like the past reviewers said, you need better transitions, but it ain't so bad. Add a fx and its all fixed. :) I'll 5/5 your song and since I like the trance section too...not as much as dance...I'll give you a 8/10 review. Keep them music stuff coming. (excuse my bad english)

Smiles on the description

Well only two songs so I suppose this is your best. Clarity has been improved alot. Now one more thing to add. Your timing of some of the notes is off ever so slightly yet noticeable. I like the crazy guitar. A few off key moments or maybe on key moment but not the proper mix. I can see what your doing with the whole buildup thing. Slowly add new instruments on top then make the guitar play a faster yet still similar beat. I wish you could have changed the fuzzy bass rhythm. Heh. The ending is funny. Thought you were going for a fade out but nope the clashing of cymbals. Not really the best ending but still a better ending than some other songs on NG. Despite me asking you for more diversity, it really isn't applicable to the trance genre. I just like diverse stuff more. Anyway great guitars with some awesome reverb or whatever you did to make them all atmosphery sounding. 5/5 and 9/10 rev. Your getting alot better...reason to smile. Bye for now

<3 music story's reviews, help me a lot lol

What the heck?

Umm no comment about the last reviewer. This song sounds quite nice. Could work in a video game in a suspense scene. I'm just waiting for the laugh to come. I like the violins alot. This song repeats for a long time so that may be the only flaw. The piano matches nicely with the strings. I don't notice any orchestral drums later in the song where the piano and strings are just going at it. Lost its suspense a bit. Haha. The laugh is not the best but I like the comedy factor put in. This is a long song as you warned me in the description. Finally ends but rather abruptly. Overall I'll give you the 5/5 vote and 10/10 rev. The laugh boosted the score from 9 to 10 cause it is funny. :) Bye for now

Chrispington responds:

Yeah the repeating gets a bit much for me too, but it's meant for video game cutscene/BG music so it's good to have a strong repeating section for snipping out nice loops.
Thanks for the review.

Hey this is some cool stuff

Is that your voice and I suppose your friend's voice too? The lyrics change up alot so kudos to you for making the lyrics. I guess the background music is not really bumpy, but you say bumpin alot. This is a rare hip hop song I enjoyed on NG. Keep the lyrical music coming. It definately helps with the diversity cause the background music is looping all the time. I'll give you a 5/5 and 10/10 review. Not much else to say. Bye for now

JMaC5000 responds:

Thanks for the review man, means a lot. I'll keep the lyrical stuff coming to NG, don't worry.
