Music for a game?

At the start I enjoyed the buildup. I'm picturing myself in a video game going through the dark corridors like DOOM and something can pop out any second. The next part of the song you speed things up but you keep that dark feel. Good job on that. I think your song suites a title like dark dungeons...cheesy yeah but I don't picture a storm. Anyway, I liked your song so keep making more. You will get a 4/5 by me.

Karco responds:

Yeah, I guess I can imagine this in a game. It could suit a dark dungeon, though towards the end of the song (when I reintroduce the low violin thingy and a bunch of other harmonies) I was trying to give the image of an unpredictable, tossing, dark and stormy sea. Oh well, everyone gets a different image, right? =) Thanks for reviewing! =D

Why called blue stars?

I enjoyed the heavenly feeling to trance. It is rare to hear a calm song on trance. Usually fast paced and busy. Not sure why you called this song blue stars? Maybe "a chorus of the stars" might be better. This song isn't loud at all. All your adding sounds are balanced nicely in volume. The only problem may be some areas that cut of the heaven sound right into the drums and clapping. Kinda sounds ackward. Great job and I love your user name :) You deserve a 4.5/5 by me, but since I can't give you a 4.5 than I will round up to 5. Bye for now.

TheUrbanNinjaGirl responds:

i wanted to call the song raining stars but i liked blue stars cuz blue is my favorite colour. everything in the song was done manly out of bordom.

I like it

Did you compose the whole sounds by yourself? So for eg. didn't use any synthesizer? Cause if you didn't tall me how you got those special effects. This song sounds cool. I heard it before in a game and it's great you relate your music to games. I would give you 4.5/5 but I can't so 5/5 you got yourself. Nice job. Can you review my songs too please? Just search for jerrims and listen my songs except for "Life of a jukebox" and "UPS/DOWN" cause those ones I really screwed up on. Oh yeah and read the previous reviews where I explain myself why there may be a lack of order. It was intentional in some of them.

Amazing song nuff said

You deserve to be at the top in the pop genre on NG. Yours is like 2 times better than 2nd place and I have no idea why your song isn't getting ddl alot. You should be almost gold track by now if ppl knew what talent was. Good stuff and good user name too. Can you review and vote for my audio submissions? Just search for my user name in author search bar and listen too some of my songs plz...except ignore "Life of a jukebox" and "ups/downs" I edited life of a jukebox to a jukebox life which is much better. Thanks 5/5 on this song with no hesitation.

Turning-Japanese responds:

Oh, how especially kind of you to say. Of course, I'd be happy to review some of your work! I don't mind that I don't have so many downloads - I'm glad people like you enjoy my stuff!

Thanks for your review!

Video game music indeed

Superb track you made. I can definitely see it in a game. The only problem may be balancing the sound volume. Some parts the sound effects blare loud so I slowly turn my speakers down. Than it is too quiet so I have to raise the volume. I may have heard this tune before..don't remember right now. Anyway, a great song to listen to with or without a video game and I hope to hear more from you. PM me when you come out with new songs. I want to hear more. Also can you review and vote for my music tracks. Just search for my name with the author search bar. Ignore the 2 songs "Life of a jukebox" and "ups/down" cause I messed up on those two. Overall I would have given you 4.5/5 but I can't so rounding up..a 5/5.

Swift-Reason responds:

YEah, i noticed the volume changes to but i didn't think anything of it till you just mentioned it. As for the tune, my goal is to always try to write something that people can identify with.

Thx for the review and i'll be sure to pm you when i come out with more stuff. I'll also be checking out your music so keep an eye out for my reviews. :)

Church bells?

Well I think I found a NG musician who is the most original on NG. Now a song with church bells? What's next in your next song? I can't even think of one. You are very creative in making music. No brainer..orginality a 10/10. Diversity..well it is repetitous, but the song was short so it was not annoying to hear the bells again and again. Would have been if it was a 5 min song. Clarity...those bells made the mood of the song depressing. You were bang on your description. Should be in a war movie where it shows the terrible results of war. Overall an 8/10. I like the cheerier songs more, but that is just my opinion. Your making songs quite quickly. I actually just submitted one too. It's called loneliness..anger..sadness and I thought that song was depressing. Yours beats mine on the depressing factor. So I will give you a 4/5 fair enough?

MastaBrad responds:

thank you, even though i'm orignal i suppose i still feel like i need to find my style. I didnt realize this song would get quite the attention. I make a lot of trance songs, everyone is like, yea that sounds cool. then when i make these kind of songs, it seems to reach out more to people and i get quite a lot of feedback. thanks again ill check out your song.

Unique tune

Out of all the 4 types of music genre you listed..this one is dominantly trance. Very repetitous. I was a bit ify on diversity because if this was in the trance section I would give you a higher diversity since that is what trance is...repetition. The clarity was good. Effort..well it was pretty much the same throughout with a few tweaks here and there so an avg. effort. Overall good job. I was a bit surprised how near the end of the song all of a sudden there is a big drop in volume. Gradually becoming quieter instead of quiet all at once would make this song better. I would have given you 3/5 on this submission, but since if this song was in the trance section...I would have given higher so for the benefit of the doubt you will get a 4/5 by me. Can you review and vote for my songs too? Just find the author jerrims (me duh) and listen to my songs except for "life of a jukebox" and "ups/downs" cause I messed up on those ones badly. Thanks

Tanooki-John responds:

Well, thanks for sharing all of that with me. I will check out your stuff later in the future. Oh, and sorry about the gener. I usualy screw up sometimes. Well, im glad you liked it.

Hey..feel like I'm at the carnaval

well good short loop. Kinda hard to give you a great score since it is not even a song. I really felt like I was at the carnaval so if that was your intention than kudos for you. If it was more than a loop I would have given you a higher score. No hard feeling? I might add some of your loops to my music program once I find out how. Can you check out my miscellaneous song "loneliness..anger..sadness" Just search my user name jerrims. Thanks For this song I will give you a 3/5.

A good start for a demo

I was surprised about the clarity. It was not bad at all even though you said it was. I have a few suggestions before you make the final version. The beginning is good but try to move more quickly into when the beat picks cause the whole percussion part at the start is a little too excessive. From there on the song is just amazing. You even add a piano in there. Love that feature. Your songs is long for a demo!! PM me when you post the final version. I want to here it. In the mean time can you review and vote for my submissions..."A jukebox's life (volume up)", "testing" and my latest "lonliness...anger...sadness" Thanks.

Pulstate responds:

Thank you so much mate!

Good sound effects

Okay so I see your description saying a shootout and I'm thinking you mean a hockey shootout? LOL So anyway I hear the car starting and than gunshots, windows breaking, cops coming and I'm just like what the heck is going on. Than comes in your little melody and I'm like okay here we go. Good stuff coming cause the beginning was just nonsense. By the end of the song I hear a boom and I'm like OHHHH okay I get it. A shootout...some guy in a car trying to escape the cops and later goes boom. Now I get it. The beginning so pointless as I thought. You successfully portrayed a story in your music. I am really really really impressed. Good song..probably one of the best miscellaneous songs I've heard, but than that genre of music isn't my favorite so really my score is a bit biased. I really tried to not be biased at all, but I just can't force myself to like something as much as other genres. Very good song anyway. Plz give me a written review on "A jukebox life (volume up)" which is a dance song. Not sure if you like dance so some bias may occur to..but just give a fair review. I need your support cause on the dance genre there is a blammer who keeps giving all new dance submissions a big fat 0/5 for no reason. He is an absolute jerk so I need your honest review so I can improve on stuff. We can both make suggestions to help eachother make better songs in the future.

MastaBrad responds:

heh, wow. I'm speechless to see such a large review.

The original name was going to be "A Bad Day" but that would make no sense either. Yea, sorry about the random start there, I tried to build up the sounds, starting with a car then ending in a car chase thing... anyways.

I'll give you support, but boosting people is not my specialty. I dont rank myself either like I have noticed some people do, they give themselves fives on fresh submissions.

Thanks for the review, it is a rare to see reviews containing over 3 lined paragraphs.
