Not bad

I like the supporting bass in the background. The lead guitar sounds neat but I don't like its feedback. Gives the screeching sound which is a bit uncomfortable. The solo is nice. Drums and cymbals are working wonders for this song. It does repeat for a while before you change stuff up. Besides those two problems (feedback and repeating chorus?) the song has a fun beat. Good job so I'll give you a 5/5 and 9/10 review. Bye for now.

Good point

Good point on your profile message. Quite true which is sad. Your song caught my attention because another NG user is called trunks and I thought it was his song. :) Back in the days I loved DBZ but now its not so great. Video game musicians always amaze me with how good their ears are with making a song that replicates the original. This song is not upbeat or action oriented but it does have a crystal like childish sound. I don't mind at all. More mellow tunes on NG is always a plus for me. Anyway back to your profile message. I think everyone knows the facts...many however don't have the willingness which we respect. Bye for now and umm fix the clarity problems. 5/5 vote and 9/10 review.

I noticed the clarity problems only AFTER submitting. >_<.

Thank you so much for the kind words on my music. *bows*

And yes, we all know of the suffering in third world countries, but we're too busy fighting a pointless war.

Rev.

I get to review the platinum and diamond guy. Already high expectations. What does R.E.M. stand for? Well it is fast. Reminds me of "blaze" from you know who on NG. Both are high bpm. I like the guitar part. All these sounds remind me of video game music. I have to agree with "my garbage" that it does seem to loop. However I can tell lots of effort was put into this song. This song has its diverse moments so kudos on doing that for trance. Transitions seem to work quite well. What music program do you use? I don't know how you and all the other guys who make really fast songs can play the keyboard that fast. You got quick hands (unless you turned the tempo down --> played the notes --> sped up the tempo) Can the platinum/diamond sir spare time to rev. my song (well for negrounders to be more exact) "CELEBRATING NEWGROUNDS YAH!" song plz. Need feedback by a guy whole owns the techno section on NG.

long load!

Took a while for this song to finally start playing. Must be my computer. The name "Requiem of a Dream" sounds familiar. I know the tune sounds very familiar. This song has a very dark feel to it. Those cries by the choir have a freaky feel. The orchestra like drum hits are also a nice addition. I think you did quite a facelift to the original. Lots of effort must have been put into this. I like how you kept the drums quiet in the background. The leads are definatly the show. Well thought construction. Too bad the song isn't really original like you said. Did you play the piano near the beginning of the song? You can play the piano so that is a very good sign that your future original songs will be great too. Hah...I really like that choir distorted part. Haunting....and take a 5/5. No wonder this song is getting a bunch of revs. It's a good song. 9/10 rev (sorry remix will never get a 10 by me cause of originality but that doesn't mean this remix is bang on great) Bye for now

x-Exodus-X responds:

thank you for the lengthy, complimentitive review! that isnt me on the piano, i used FL keys. im glad the choir got its twisted feeling across, the song was supposed to be dark and hopeless. i also get what you mean about the originality, and i understand the 9/10. my next song is coming nicely, i think you all will like it! going to check out your page now.

Hi rev.

Eh this tune sounds familiar. It's familiar because I played a tune similar (of course not exactly the same) to this for fun at home. Never did make it a actual song on NG but brings back memories. Your going crazy over the fuzziness. The bass is good. Video game music more than techno in my opinion. It could fit in one of those rpg take turn battle scenes. I think you could have changed up the drums. Maybe less fuzz on the bass. The high pitch sound is what gave me the video game impression. Sounds so 16 bit....or 8 bit. I can't tell difference between 16 bit stuff and 8 bit sounds. In conclusion you get a 5 by me and a 9/10. Quite good for only a 2nd song on NG. Bye for now

Neon-Crepth responds:

thx for the review man. i appreciate all of what you had to say. in retrospect i see what everyone was saying about...well everything. got any new songs?...ill check em out.

Fun song

First off...your other song for a guy in iraq. There is a guy on NG called quickshot-x who is from iraq. You should pm him to listen to that song. Something tells me that your related or friends with wolf tech. :) You guys use identical programs right? Alot of these sounds I have heard (I wonder why :)), but since first time from you..I will pretend all these pads and synths are completely original. This song has a hectic feel to it. Reminds me of how hectic ninga gaiden black can be. A few fuzzy parts. Maybe a filter on the trancy like synth could have fixed that. In one point of the song it sounds like a mario video game. It changes up quite a bit so that's really nice for a trance song. You may be the first I have heard so far on NG that makes diverse trance. I like the special effects to. Overall a good song but not quite amazing trance stuff compared to immune and those other top trancer producers on NG. 9/10 and I will raise your score. Bye for now

SilverSanguis responds:

I will, thanks. Diverse tracks, eh? Mario? If that's what you heard, then that's pretty cool. Yeah, Wolf-tech and I have the same program, and he's why I tried a track like this. I wanted it more diverse and it looks like it worked. Yet, I'm new to the style and I thought it seemed a little shallow. But that's why they invented practice!!! I might do more, idk, but for now, thanks for the review, hope to hear more too!!

Eh....

I guess ppl really have a grudge against your dance music. Already two low dance scores and you just submitted the other one yesterday. Did you start making this song a while back? It looks like you made this song in 1 day which doesn't leave much room for effort. However I could be wrong and you were just stockpiling on songs submitting them all quickly now. I have no clue what the vox is saying. The guitars are a nice addition. I think you basically play the same pattern throughout the entire song. Adding a new sound on top of the guitars and plays the exact same rhythm does not count as diversity. I got bored halfway through. I will assume you spent weeks making this song so I'll give you a good score. Next time really work on the diversity. This can be made by just simply playing a couple of notes and looping it for the entire song. Still a impressive attempt for only your 4th dance attempt? Bye for now

DJ-Izeales responds:

Its a good thing that your honest, i agree sum ppl h8 my trx, that heaven track isnt even that bad, now its my worst track?? anyways, the vocals are saying "Dancing and Crying" Havent u hear this track? Its called "David Guetta-Love Don't Let Me Go"

mmm chrono trigger

Is chrono cross any different from the snes chrono trigger? That game was fun though the triple team specials was pretty pointless. I have to disagree with you about chrono trigger being the best (classic) game in the world. For me the best classic video game is Gunstar Heroes for sega. :) You used your ear to make all these notes replicate the orginal? That's a very good set of ears you got. Much more busier with that crazy sounding synth. I have no clue what instrument that is. Not sure why you would put this in dance. Video game section is more ideal. Wow..that's a long wait before the song loops again. This well most likely be used in a chrono trigger/cross flash movie. Video game music is so popular on NG. They all tend to work great with flash. Now someone has to tell the video game music lovers to come to the dance section and listen to this song of yours. :) Time for you to tell all the flash artists to check out this song. 5/5 and a 9/10 rev. (Note remixes don't get 10 from me) Bye for now

F-777 responds:

Thanks man. Ya chrono trigger is WAY different then Chrono Cross...anyways thanks for your time and stuff.

Date explain?

Did something happen in 1765 worth knowing? The song starts good, but I think that choir sound was a bit too loud. Once you get to the main part I sense a mini battle. I guess the digital like sounds give the high tech stuff they had back in 1765? Probably lame technology. However when the piano comes in... well no more battle. Sounds quite mellow which contrasts the dark bells. Short and sweet song. You got alot of diversity going on so that's good. I think in this song you used alot more special fx than your other songs. The piano part is probably where the tough composition starts to come. You and I both seem to like chords alot. Yah for chords. Question. Is this how general rock is supposed to sound like? Have fun making music. Bye for now.

Turning-Japanese responds:

1765 is really a pretty arbitrary year, but it's supposed to conjure thoughts of antiquity, and you'll notice it's just a short while after the baroque era.

The special effects obviously aren't supposed to be representative of the time, but you'll notice the choir and their gregorian stlye chanting seem to fit the theme, along with the not-so-counterpuntal piano part.

Personally, I would consider 'classical rock' to be any song that's hybrid of both classical (strings, choir, compositional arrangement) and rock music.

Thank you, as always for your review!

Wow posting music fast

3 songs in 3 days? This song has that big empty hall way reverb effect. Hope that made sense. :) The drums are nice being all spacy like. When that bass sound comes in, a little bit overpowering the drums. Heh I just read your description about trapped in the hall. I guess I am right. When I think of ambient I think of nature sounds, but I never made ambient. Your the expert not me. It's hard to tell if you did some panning with the bass. Did you? So I loved the empty hall feeling...really made the drums sound cool. 5/5 and 10 rev. Bye for now.
