Here is my rev to you.

Ambient...I'm not an expert in knowing what makes a good ambient song. I'll try my best to be fair. First off...is this a remix? No? Than I compliment you for the vox like humming. Yikes a 5 minute song! I suppose the baby like bells are good. The transition was quite sudden. Maybe a long echo (or reverb) could have made the transition better. This 2nd section is more calm. The humming with the two voices is good, but one of them sounds funny. Now this next transition is much better. Faster song style now. Too bad the female vox isn't saying any lyrics. I understand your pattern now. You change up the back ground which is awesome considering I love diversity however even though you change the background...once you make the transition it kinda repeats. Add that with the vox repeating and well it's not much diversity. However this is your style and you like long buildups so I respect that. You gotta make the song shorter though. This length may be perfect to relax to outside in the breeze but I'm sitting inside in front of my computer. :) I can see you put alot of thought into making this and I know others will love this. Ambient just not my fav genre. I like upbeat kind of music. Overall I liked the fast part of the song, loved the vox though I hoped for lyrics, and I like how you at least changed the background to not get me bored. 5/5 and 10/10. Ask SBB to rev. this song. He knows alot more about ambient than I do. Sorry for the lame review. Bye for now

Smad responds:

Thanks man, I like people who leave meaningful reviews whether good or bad. :D
Yeah this good would be ideal as a backing track for a serious flash (hint hint) lol. Neways, thank you for listening to my song and giving a thoughtful review, I appreciate it. Btw my other songs are plenty upbeat, listen to them :P.

Smad.

I guess you don't mean me

I never doubted you. I also tend to vote high even if the song so deserves a low vote. It's the reviews that matter more. So now back to your song. I would say that you purposely made this repetitive to piss off the guys who hate your music. I think alot of ppl like your style its just the blammer that doesn't. However the blammer hates everyone on NG. Name any artist on NG and he/she will say he/she got blammed at least once. Anyway I know you can make much better music. You didn't try on purpose which is easily understandable by the title of this song. Sry I ain't downloading this song. :) No hard feelings on the low review score right? I'll give you good vote anyway. Bye for now

Platinum-Chrome responds:

naw mayn your my dawg may, they dont understand i mean the haters

Killer x ok

Hmm sounds familiar. It's like the 80s kinda rock. I just imagine the rockers in black leather with their greasy hair. Also has a james bond 007 feel in one section of the song. I like the guitar you used. A bit repetitive though. I think it looped once. Overall this is some cool stuff. Has a jumpy excited feel to it. Well constructed and again only problem was the diversity factor. Kudos on another great song. Your on a roll...keep it coming. 5/5 and 9/10 rev. Vox would really work good in this song. Bye for now. (sorry for the late review)

Turning-Japanese responds:

Good call, man. This reply is WAY late - sorry.
But yeah, this track was originally meant to have vocal tracks (to keep the listener's attention). I'm glad you got all that imagery out of it though. If you listen carefully, it doesn't actually loop halfway through - the second go-round has a brief change in chord retrogression.

Thanks for your review, as always!

Never heard of the original

Putting some tremelo on the instrument I see. Has a nice feeling at the beginning. The drums are gentle ...peaceful. I think you should get rid of that tremelo feature where the piano starts like echoing alot. Gets annoying, but besides that I think you should continue finishing up. Don't want to waste all that time to make this. Sounds to me already half the song is complete. I'll wait for the final version if you decide to continue. GL with that and bye for now

DSMagnum responds:

I didn't use tremelo, but reverb. I was messing around with some plugins I got.

Strange description love?

Fell in love with what? Well I don't know what to say. This song is quite funky. Reminds me of happy aliens. Do you still use the same music program? I really don't know how to critique funk. To me this is all strange but all funk sounds unique and weird...but that's just my opinion. I think the diversity was a bit lacking. That high pitch sound played a similar pattern throughout however I liked the reverb you used in your instruments. Short review so to be safe I'll give you a 5/5 and 9/10. Bye for now

Triented responds:

Oh hell what do men usually fall in love with? BEER!!! Nah It's a girl.
Seriously Thanks for the review, yes I am still using the same program.
I didnt use review WTF are you talking about. I guess I have a knack for doing good stuff on accident :D.

Intrigued by the title

I love piano so your title really got my attention. The guitar is awesome. Spacy feeling. Just need some lyrics and this would be even better. Is piano stories a name of a song and you just converted all the piano playing to guitar? This has a very dark moody feel to it. Serious stuff. Wish the drums could change up more and a lil more diversity note wise on the guitar. Overall a song worthy of 5/5 vote and a 9/10 review. Question...mike blade and matt blade. Are you guys related? Bye for now

MattBlade responds:

LOL, heh yea were related mikeblade is the more older experienced brother of music, sadly to say im the smarter one, dont tell em i said that though. lol oh yea thanks for ya review its much appreciated.

Remix of a remix attempt

I liked the original. This one I can't really tell much difference but that's probably because the last time I heard the original was a long time ago. I like the panning going on with the lead guitar on the right speaker, but maybe switch it up between the speakers. I was hoping for vox...anyway great song. Well mastered so a 5/5 and 9/10 review. Remixes don't get a 10 by mecause of originality. Bye for now

hah teacher made this?

Which program does your teacher use? It's happy and I guess disney like. Feels like it could work in shrek though. Kudos to your teacher. He/she doesn't go diverse enough though. Nevertheless I enjoyed it. Makes my day a little more sunny. I don't want to critique your teacher :) so I'll keep this review short. 5/5 and hmm 10/10. Thanks for sharing this music with us NG even though it isn't yours. :) I guess I should thank the teacher for letting you post it here. Bye for now

ProfessorChaos22 responds:

Actually the challenge was made by my teacher, so it is my own. He did not write it, I did. It was for class, he told me to write a "happy" song instead of the usual dramatic or epic styles I usually write in. So it is my own, his stuff is pretty good as well, but he did not write this. Sorry for the confusion, I would not put his stuff up here.
Thanks anyways

!!! fast

What another song up already. I can't keep up with the rev :) Piano. Good but a little too loud and makes the speakers fuzz just a tad bit. No biggie though. I wouldn't really call this dance. Maybe classical or at least miscellaneous. I know a techno part is coming soon...waiting for that. So obvious to know what part you did. Yes I know your description already said that you did the techno part but even if you didn't say that I would have guessed right. Your synth choices...typical of F-777. I like your part better cause the sound balance is right on. However I think foxtrott had the harder composition area. Together it worked out. The obvious split between a classical and techno feel made it like a story so good job to the both of you. 5/5 and 9/10 review. Bye for now

F-777 responds:

Thanks for the review and ratings. i apricciate them.

Waiting waiting...

Wow my computer is running slow. Took forever to start this song. Starts quite epic like. Like the crystal like bells. Quite typical of you to start slow in your songs than go all crazy. This reminds me of burning love a bit. Has quite the similar pattern. Ahh yes transition. Yes you are becoming more diverse each new song you make. Great job. Good...you came back to the main theme keeping things organized. I'm relieved that you didn't use that vox where person says lez go. The ending is cool...like the engine just blew up and starts powering down. You know what? I like the diversity you used. I might actually consider this a music story. Let's all start making music stories. :) Lez go! Bye for now and umm like I said to you already, it's up. Give it a listen. 5/5 and 10/10.

ZeRo-BaSs responds:

thank you MS!
