You say this is a loop?

Is this for that mac something competion? Well it is repetitive. That fuzzy sound is unique. Not sure what pico is thinking. He is just a pixelated character. :) I really can't make a long review on this song. Like you said...this is just a loop. Are you going to implement this into a full length song? So in short I feel like I'm playing a video game where there is alot of industrial stuff going on. 5/5 thanks to the originality. I usually never give a 5 for loops but for some reason this one tells a story..strangely enough. 9/10 rev. No 10 for loops. Check out my new song "guitar hero". Bye for now

Buoy responds:

it's a loop fo sho' there was a contest going tho it ended now¨ at least i'm not the only person clueless about pico feeling

k seen your song and I'll review it gotta be laters tho

oh new song

Well I didn't know you made a new song. Okay so the title of the song is appropriate. Lots of static. Your songs all seem to have that signature bass. Gives the dark feeling. I like that trancy sound you use. If it weren't for the clapping loop this would be trance. The ending is cool. Not too much is going on in this song pattern wise. Gets you concentrated on one mood set. However, you already know what I expect for diversity...which I guess is just my opinion. Not much more to say except an interesting use of the cymbals. 5/5 and 9/10 review. Bye for now

Trunks responds:

Thanks for the review!

I liked a new sample that I made splicing a snare and white noise, and it sounded staticy so I made a song out of it :D

And in this song, I think I did much better with the bass than normal.

Anyways, thanks for the nice review and I think that I'm done with this style of songs :D I'll work on a new style before I submit anything.

Welcome then to NG

Heavy metal song? Well your guitars are typical of heavy metal. If there was more stuff going at once instead of the solo a whole bunch of times...than this song would be more like heavy metal. Cymbals is your main drum support. I wish you had more than just cymbals. So for your next song add more harmonies like more guitars playing at once. Besides that I'll give you a good mark for your first try. Better than my first try so 5/5 and 10/10 review. Bye for now

BulletTrainX responds:

Thanx, I'll do better on my next submittions. I might even fix this one.

A jazz artist

Yes the good ol 80s organ. Matches with the jazzy feel. The piano part has that jumpy feel to it. Your good with the piano considering you made this song from scratch. Who is your influence? Reminds me of foxtrot for some funny reason. So well done on this piece of music. Glad your adding to the jazz section which doesn't have enough songs yet. 5/5 vote and umm sure 10/10 review. Your finger okay when sliding it across the piano keys? :) Bye for now

JohnWE responds:

Well, it's actually an electric piano, but I see places I could have made it sound more like an EP. My uncle is the top jazz pianist in New Mexico, so I listen to his stuff a bit. I also like Frank Klepacki and most any song that is well orchestrated or has a good keyboard solo in it.

And yeah, I have callouses on the Back of my fingers where I do those runs. When I get on a harder-keyed keyboard or piano I have to watch myself because I have ripped up my fingers before.

Hello

Heh..don't know what to say when the song starts. Okay so when that bell like sound comes it...makes me feel at a carnaval. This is funny stuff. I like that fuzzy bass sound and that voice. LOL. The drums a little bit too loud. Surprising not repetitive. Not sure if you use piano later. !!CPR . I feel like I'm at a hospital now. Something bad must of happened at the carnaval. Yes your dream is really screwed up. I never heard stuff this weird except for the carnaval bits. I don't know what else to critique you on. I guess 5/5 for being a strange song. I wouldn't call this listening music in the car, home, or anywhere. It is nice though to here once and see how creative ppl are. :) So umm to be safe in marking I give you 10/10. I just submitted a song called "guitar here". Can you check that out for me? Thanks

DoobyTimePiece responds:

hell yah, polka!! thats the first time i did my own voice work, normaly i buy the royleties to the voice thing (costs like a $1.00 or somthing) but it worked out glad you liked it. ill check you stuff out later.

back to the disco age

yeah time to use the cheesy sounds on your music program. I have tons of them too. Good to know we can actually use them to make a decent song. Your trancy like bass with the hard kick may not have been in the disco age, but the higher pitch sounds sure could be. Sounds a bit like disco techno. You got the harmonies going. I like how you ended the song with that long echo. That zipper sound is so cheesy...makes me feel happy. :) The base line seems to be constant so that keeps the mood of the song intact. Too bad that organ like sound is brief. Did you use alot of special fx or put alot of "glide" to make that rising up and down feel? Constructively made well. Basic stuff sounds good too. Thank goodness for trance synths. Suggestions? Well not pertaining to this song since it sounds good. Others will like it, but you know me. I like to see more complex composition. 5/5 vote, 10/10 review and 10/10 for cheesy factor. Bye for now

F-777 responds:

Thanks! No i didnt use FX i use the slide tool in Fl studio.

yeah sorry

Sorry for the late review. Bit busy with stuff. So you made a remix. I never heard of the ultimate basshunter song. Sounds pretty good. Sounds jumpy and almost happy despite the use of bass. Lots of instruments were used, but I'm sensing some repetitiveness. That jumpy sound with the bass comes again and again. Maybe if there was vox then I could handle the repetitiveness. Maybe I just expect too much diversity in every song. I'm not sure about that high pitch sound. Not sure if that ties in with the song. With everything going, the background support sounds almost industrial. And yes back to the jumpy stuff again. I know it isn't your fault since you just did the remix so whoever make the original song tell him to make his future stuff with more variety rather than just changing the synths, pads, etc. around. Besides that you did a great job collab. The fault is just the beginning where the speakers fuzz just for a moment. So 5/5 voting and 9/10 review cause a remix...not something you made from scratch.

x-Exodus-X responds:

thanks for the review! i have no idea what you mean by the jumpy sound, if you could explain in more detail it would be nice. and as for the high pitched sound, were you talking about the opening string? i agree about the diversity, as a good friend of mine said, "it doesnt really go anywhere". the fuzz is because of the major qulaity reduction because of the newgrounds 4000kb litmit. thanks for the 5 too! see you around the audio portal.

Okay rev

So yeah I've been busy lately for the last week. Sorry for the late review. Too bad you lost the file. You could still add onto it though...just redo everything. I like that string violin or is that viola? Brings out the emotion. The only problem with this song is that the harmonies are repeating the same pattern. I'm not sure if your going to finish this or not, but if you do change things up a bit more. Keep the violin though. I like it. 5/5 vote and 9/10 review since sounds like a loop and I guess not the full version. Gotta leave room for a 10 for the full version. Bye for now

F-777 responds:

ya im going to redo it and ya your right the background needs changing...Ya its a violin...thanks man for the awesome review...i would say more but im really depressed right now, i wont see my best friend for a least a year or 2...So see ya later im going to start working on the song...

Classical

Well classical is usually soothing so looks promising to make my head feel better. I'd say that piano sound is quite overpowering to the strings (I think??? are they strings?) The drums are interesting. Sound like they are tom tom drums and have a marching band kind of feel. Since the piano is showing an emotional part of the song, the drums don't fit perfectly. Maybe jazzy drum sets would have been better with the soft brushes hitting the cymbals. The piano composition is well thought of. Looks like your expanding on this project. I'm not sure what tips I can give you when expanding this song. Maybe your new section can have the flowing chords (like appreggios) instead of chords where all the notes making up that chord are pressed at the same time. This song sounds like minor key. So overall a good start. 5/5 vote and 9/10 review. Gotta leave room for a 10 for the full version. Bye for now

Karco responds:

Well, I doubt I'm going to be posting a full version, but I'll definitely keep that advice in mind... :)

The full version's pretty much already finished. It's been finished for a few days and this piece of it doesn't at all do it justice.

I'm no expert at all with orchestral drums... but you apparently know more than I do. So I'll refer to this review especially if I plan to expand on the drums. :D

I agree the piano's well done, it's some of my best... and I like your idea with arpeggios, and I think it just might work in the song.

Well, thanks for the review, Music-story. Thanks for the high voting, too... glad you like it. :)

okay :)

Hmm, you say loop in your description. I like diverse stuff but oh well. Listening time....
First off I love the part with lots of staccatos. Nice bass you got going. The only lil mistake is some of the bass plucks have a bit of fuzziness. However I blame that on NG limiting us to only 4 mb song files. Your techno actually not the calm easy listening style. I've heard much softer kinds. The hard bass gave it the more serious stuff. This song reminds me of video game music. The pad that sounds digital gives it the video game flavour. What is Crepth? I know it's part of your alias name but that's about it. I just realized you used the tambourine...or sounds like a tambourine. That's your drum section? Rarely do I ever see that as the lead percussion section. Sure I can hear a "kick" sound also supporting the song. Very original on choosing your drums. So first submission on your new account should be a big event. :) So 5/5 vote and 10/10 review. Again my only suggestion is to tone that bass in the staccato part cause that's when the fuzz comes in. Bye for now

Neon-Crepth responds:

thank u once again for the complementing review!i somewhat noticed what u were talking about with the bass being fuzzy but i think it was in fact the kick that was too loud...my fault. the tambourine you were referring to wasnt a tambourine at all actually, it was a snare with a weird kind of hi hat in the back. i think this song is a little bit more easy listening than some of my others, but i get where you're coming from. i glad you liked the digital sound and the staccato part.( that digital thing was i think maxidst in the wasp panel)

thx again for the review and 5/5 and 10/10! ill be sure to review some more of your songs too. PS. crepth doesn't mean anything really, i just thought it sounded cool, lol.
