Hello again

Almost missed this song of yours. Never heard of Daniel Kandi before. I'm not a real fan of remixes cause remixes aren't as hard to make as songs from scratch. I'm not sure what you added to the remix since I didn't hear the original, but it sounds nice and peaceful. This has been twice in a row you made calm trance. Maybe that's your specialty. One thing that comes to mind whenever I listen to remixes is how professional trance artists aren't actually that much better than some trance artists on NG. I wonder what gets them noticed and not NG trance makers? So good remix. I guess you can't sell this song unless you get Daniel's permission. So 5/5 voting and bye for now.

Pulstate responds:

Thanks mate.

Everything was mine, except the melodies and bass. :)

Of course

I always vote fair. Well your almost at your 50th submission. PM me when you finish that one. Yes and I'm glad your not dead :) Your song has a little bit of a epic feel to it. Has the nice happy synths which I like. Good way to end the song by slowing everything down. I've noticed you don't respond to your reviews. Oh well I guess my review is useless. I'll stop here without explaining suggestions Good song and 5/5 voting. Bye for now

Waterflame responds:

thank you :) sorry for not responding to everything, i dont have the time usually, or i simply dont know what to say. none the less, i do read every review and take them seriously. infact, the reviews is almost why i submit songs :) so never think your reviews are in vain, i enjoy reading them all! thanks for bothering :)

New stuff. Real review

Okay here we go. Starts techno kinda to me. A bit empty. Now comes the back support. Nice drums N clap. How much reverb did you put on that synth? Starts to sound more industrial. Are buildups allowed in industrial music cause all the industrial songs I've heard never use buildups which I like alot. Hey the tempo change is a good addition for effort and diversity. Some parts of the song reminds me of the video game metroid. Has that alien like feel to it...some really nasty beast or something. I'm not sure if your changing the drums in the back. I know you make the claps more quiet later in the song but not sure if that is an entirely new drum loop. I heard you know a good site to download some nice drums. PM me and tell me the site plz? Hopefully it works for macintosh computers. You say in your description that you made this song for fun. Well I think you make all your songs for fun or you wouldn't make any. I wish there was someone on NG that used my music program so he/she could make cool sounding synths for me. You know how to use your music program well. I guess for compostition wise the song is a bit repetitive, but thumbs up on the creativity with the software instruments used. I'll be waiting for your 5 part series coming. Wow that's gonna be a long song. Good luck with that. Since in your review you leave spaces inbetween and I don't, maybe my review length tied yours. Just to make sure..........

5/5 voting and bye for now. Oh I suck in grading industrial since I lack experience with this genre. Thanks for enlightening my industrial experience.

:)

Karco responds:

GAH! That's a long review! =D This made my day... I'm going to have to be scrolling for a bit until I get far down enough reading your review... XD

The "empty" thing is for atmosphere... hmmm. I can see what you mean, though. It sounded pretty good to me.

Reeverb? Well, a decent amount. :P Enough so a short note reeverbing and a long held note pretty much count as different synths. Hah! XD

Buildups in Industrial? Well, I'm honestly no expert on this style of music... I just made this song and it sounded more like a song that would fit in the Industrial genre than anythin else. But I'd guess buildups generally wouldn't work in this genre.

There's actually no tempo change... unless you're talking about the ending. Huh.

Yep, this song was indeed partially inspired by Metroid. And again yes, I do add to the drums now and then. The clap remains at the same volume throughout the song, though... don't know what gave you that impression. (Well, there is an exception - when I filter it out towards the end of the song. The slowing down and getting lower in pitch symbolizes "turning off" and might have something to do with it as well.)

Well, if your program can use downloaded MP3 samples, which I think it can, then I think it should be able to use the drums from that website. I'll send you a PM.

Yep, true enough... my songs definitely are made for fun. They're also made for feedback. ;) It varies... some songs are more fun to make than others, some I don't like as much but I'm submitting for reviews feedback. ;) This one is a lot of both - I want to know if I'm any good at this style, and it was a pretty fun one to make.

Aah, I'm sure there's SOMEONE on NG who uses the same program as you do... you just have to find them. ;) I actually still have a LOT to learn about FL and using it... I also have a LOT (A LOT!) I need to buy. XD

Yep, Atmosphere is going to be a whopper. Unfortunately, I lost my inspiration for it so it could take me anywhere from a few more days now to months. :( We'll see. I actually have the first part finished, and I'm considering submitting it. I think I'll wait until tomorrow... we'll see.

Thanks for the HUGE review! Glad you like my song. :)

Now that I have lots of time..

Long review since I'm taking a break from music. Mines gonna be longer than yours. :) Wait umm maybe in your other song review. I already reviewed most of this song. So same stuff as before. I actually found on my music program that I have the jet special effect too. Thanks for the help though. Wow this is taking long. When does the new stuff come in? Okay I recognize a new sound you added in the background. I think the twinkling sound is the new stuff too. I like those kinds of sounds. Oh thought it was ending than song comes back....twice you do it. Not much more to say on this song except now the song is too long. Very ambient though and atmosphery. Those sound like choir pads to me. So umm 5/5 voting and in your first after the nova song I gave you 10/10. Well this song you added more and took effort to improve so I can't really give you any score lower than 10/10 or I'd be hippocritical. So 10/10 too. My next review will be longer!!!! I can't make this review long since I heard already most of the song from before. Bye for now

Karco responds:

Aah, I'd say we'd be about tied in length, if you were to split your reviews into paragraphs. :P Cool, though, that it's long, intimidating as that wall of text is.

Well, there isn't much that's new, as much as it is a longer version of the same thing. It's an extended version... not a remade one - I started at the ending and continued work. ;)

Not much else to add... but it's all appreciated! Thanks for the review, the 5, and the 10! :)

So is this a remix of your song or a remix of someone else song? So starts happy and jumpy. I can sense what note pattern you are using. Lots of people use that pattern but hey it works so well in lots of songs. Wow...did you really have to put the crowd applausing you. That was a umm unique moment. So good choice of synths. Well mastered track. Upbeat. So overall a 5/5 voting. Maybe don't put the crowd cheering you on in your next song. That boosts your originality score since your the first I've seen put a crowd cheering for the artist. Bye for now.

GroundForce responds:

"So is this a remix of your song or a remix of someone else song?"

this a remix of a song called <EverybodyIsFree(ToFeelGood)>

"I can sense what note pattern you are using. Lots of people use that pattern but hey it works so well in lots of songs."

i heard this pattern on some other song, so i tried to recreate it with a new mellow.

"Wow...did you really have to put the crowd applausing you."

isnt it a nice atmo effect? o.O

"So good choice of synths. Well mastered track."

THX!!

"So overall a 5/5 voting."

THX²!!! ^_^

"Maybe don't put the crowd cheering you on in your next song. That boosts your originality score since your the first I've seen put a crowd cheering for the artist."

i will keep that in mind.

"Bye for now."

Bye! and thanks for this review!!

Hello

Are you going to be posting your future music on NG or a different site? I'm not sure what site I'm gonna post my future songs on. I don't know the good ones out there yet. So back to your song. Okay so I heard this stuff in the demo version. Now the song is miscellaneous? Is that a choo choo train in the background? Heck I have no clue. I see you did a tempo shift in the middle of the song. I love that low sounding synth you add. You used alot of industrial samples so not sure why this isn't in the industrial genre. I also like those clam sounding synths. So overall a good choice of synths. Starts like a nature scene and moves to industrial style and finishes with the nature scene feel again. So you kept the song organized unlike my songs that continue forward. I can't imagine how you made this song with the joystick. It just sounds funny. You keep adding new things and even the tempo changed all kept the diversity high and also kept my attention. I'm not a big fan of industrial. I think I only reviewed like 5 industrial songs ever on NG. So umm yeah 5/5 voting and 10/10 review. I really have no clue what makes good or bad industrial music so I assume you did a fantastic job here. Bye for now

DoobyTimePiece responds:

choo choo? maby i did i don't remember the exact nature of the sample but, i tagged it misc. because of the intro being so trance ambient but thanks for the review.i don't know. for now ill post here but ill keep in contact if i find something better with more Constructive criticism than ng. this place is just full of techno junkies that like the 250 bpm songs that make no difference weather it sux or not. stay tuned for the weird dream it should be about 2-3 weeks b4 im ready to finalize it

I like this one better that other loop

You submitted 2 loops today but I like this one better. More busy and some nice synths added on. So I guess good loop again. You should make more songs rather than loops. Your a loop artist for sure, but songs are more fun to make. Bye for now

Subterfuger13 responds:

i just submitted rave and i think i f'd it up so listen to rave2

Umm

Those synths you used are kinda weird. I like the bass though..well I'm not even sure if that is bass. I just call it the low sounding...sound. :) Woah a big change. I like it. Adds diversity but a little too sudden. Yeah again that high sounding synth is weird for this song. I also think the part where you do a fade in to silence and than back to regular volume is a good feature, but also doesn't fit. I don't know if this song is a demo since you used the word "Demo" for your 3 recent songs. They are all demos? I thought this one is the full version of the demo of your other "Rainfall" song. Oh well. A good try for doing UK Core and Dark Trance. Since your first attempt I give you 5/5 voting and 10/10 review. So umm bye for now

DJ-DaVinster responds:

Thanks for the review!

I'm still trying to finish those older songs. They'll be up this week, hopefully. Yes, they are demos.

I used FL Keys & z3ta+ for the synths. The bass I made on 3x Osc.

A very long song. Takes quite a long time just to get going. Like a minute of the song is the slow buildup. This is one of your calmer trance songs. Now that I listened to this song, I think my new song (have not posted yet) isn't really trance. Oh well I post in trance soon anyway. :) You've got some nice sounding synths. I still gotta learn how to make good ones. So overall a good song but maybe a tad bit too long. It is soothing to hear though. I could use this song for study music. Opps, ack got a midterm in 2 days. Gotta go study now. :) 5/5 voting. Bye for now.

Pulstate responds:

Hey, thanks. It's long because it's a club mix.

The radioedit is much shorter and to the point.

Cheers.

Okay tips

Weird your score is 3.67/5 and no one left you ideas. Selfish losers. :) Starts like a dream but not like a gearbox dream. I actually don't know how a gearbox would dream. I think I heard one of the synths you used before when the song starts to buildup. I can see what your trying to do to get the gear sound....It's a little too peaceful to be a trance song. You also don't use very techno like synths. This song could work in miscellaneous section I guess. I like the song so far, but I think most people on NG will hate this because it isn't fast and has crazy effects so characteristic of techno. So your choice to continue. I'll enjoy the final version cause calm mellow songs is my style, just not the most popular style on NG. I'm not sure what to suggest. I don't want you to add any synths to that calm area of the song. It is good like that. When you build up maybe add some effects so more people will like it. Okay so 5/5 voting and I'll wait for your future song. Oh if you do switch genres than add some new harmonies to add diversity, but if still in techno than no more harmonies is necessary. Bye for now

DoobyTimePiece responds:

actually! the heavenly snyth is new! it was something i dug out under the pile. but im going to make this one harder then softer at the end. that snyth is more or less like err diminished second i think c5# or maby just c5.
